About Me

As a high school student at the Westminster Schools in Atlanta, I won class awards in AP English, trigonometry, AP German, religion, and musicianship.

I entered Princeton as a physics major but graduated cum laude with a major in German and a minor in Music Performance. I won Best Junior Paper in the German Department and the Class of 1860 Prize for Old English in the English Department.

I received my PhD in English from Vanderbilt with honors and won two conference prizes for best paper by a graduate student.

At Northwestern College, I was promoted to Full Professor and served as Co-Chair of the English Department. With support from 20+ research grants, I published in leading academic journals, edited five Shakespeare plays, and authored a German textbook.

I also served as Director of Assessment, Director of the Honors Program, and Director of General Education.

In 2020, I completed the accounting major at Northwestern College and was recruited to teach in the Business Department.

Outside of academia, I served as marketing director for Hermosa Cove, a Caribbean villa resort, and founded Two Giraffes Vanworks.

In 2021, I launched Man Standing on Two Giraffes. Since then, I’ve honed over 2,000 executive communications for corporations, hedge funds, and PE firms in the US, UK, Germany, and Australia.
